|---|---|
| 预约 | “Hi, my name is [Mei Lin]. I'd like to schedule an appointment for [a routine eye exam].” |
| 改时间 | “I have an appointment on [October 22] at [2 p.m.]. Could I move it to [Friday morning]?” |
| 查收费 | “I'm calling about a [30-dollar installation fee] on my [October] bill.” |
| 找对部门 | “Could you connect me with someone who can review this charge?” |

预约时给出自己能去的时间，再问有无空位：“I'm available after [3 p.m.] on [weekdays]. Do you have anything then?” 若对方说没有，可以接着问：“Could you put me on the cancellation list?”

[LearnEnglish：Checking understanding](https://learnenglish.britishcouncil.org/free-resources/speaking/a1/checking-understanding)

|---|---|
| 没听清后半句 | “I missed the last part. Could you say it again?” |
| 速度太快 | “Could you slow down a little? I'm writing this down.” |
| 不懂一个词 | “What does [pending] mean here?” |
| 姓名、邮箱拼不出来 | “Could you spell that for me?” |
| 数字容易混淆 | “Did you say fifteen, one-five, or fifty, five-zero?” |
| 想确认自己的理解 | “Let me check: I need to send [the receipt] before you can [review the charge]. Is that right?”

可以先说：“I need a Mandarin interpreter, please.” 预约时可问：“Could you arrange a Mandarin interpreter for my appointment?”

暂时接不上口译时，可以问：“When can we speak with an interpreter?” 或 “Is there another way to get language assistance?” 紧急情况使用 [紧急求助渠道](/book/rights/safety/emergency-help/)，不要按普通预约的节奏等待。

> **Staff:** Good morning, appointment desk. How can I help?
>
> **Mei:** Hi, I'm Mei Lin. I'd like to schedule a routine eye exam. Do you have an opening on October 22?
>
> **Staff:** We have two thirty in the afternoon.
>
> **Mei:** Did you say two thirty? And is that at your downtown office?
>
> **Staff:** Yes, 2:30 p.m. at the downtown office. Please arrive fifteen minutes early.
>
> **Mei:** So I should arrive at 2:15 p.m. on October 22. What should I bring?
>
> **Staff:** Please bring your photo ID and insurance card. I'll send the address and appointment details through our patient portal.
>
> **Mei:** Thank you. How do I reschedule if I need to?
>
> **Staff:** Call this number. The confirmation includes our cancellation policy.
>
> **Mei:** Great, I'll check the confirmation. Thank you for your help. Goodbye.

I haven't received the confirmation. Could you check where it was sent?”

例如：“My order confirmation says installation is included, but the bill lists a $30 fee. Could you review that?”

希望去掉收费，可以说 “Could you remove this fee?” 已付款且希望退回，可以说 “I'd like to request a refund for this charge.” 若对方说会给 credit，追问：“Will that be a credit on my next bill or a refund to my original payment method?”

听到 “I've submitted a request” 时，可以接着问：

- “Who will review it, and when should I expect an answer?”
- “Could I have the reference number?”
- “What amount is due while the review is pending?”
- “Could you send that payment arrangement in writing?”

不接受加购，可以说：“No, thank you. I'd like to keep my current plan.” 需要时间考虑，可以说：“I'm not ready to decide. Please send me the terms in writing.” 只想核查收费，可以说：“I'm asking about the charge. I'm not agreeing to a plan change.”

不方便当天谈，可以给出可行安排：“I can't talk now. Could we speak tomorrow after 10 a.m.?” 已决定拒绝某个邀请，则可以说：“Thanks for inviting me, but I won't be able to make it.”

> **Subject: Follow-up on installation fee — reference 246810**
>
> Hello Billing Team,
>
> I called on October 13 about the $30 installation fee on my October bill. I was told a billing specialist would review the fee and reply by October 16.
>
> My order confirmation says installation is included. I've attached a copy. Could you confirm whether the fee will be removed and what amount I should pay by the October 20 due date while the review is pending?
>
> My reference number is 246810. Please reply by email.
>
> Thank you,
>
> Mei Lin

到了对方答应的日期仍无回复，可以说：“I'm following up on reference [246810]. I was expecting a reply by [October 16]. Could you check the status?” 当前客服无法处理时，再问 “Could you connect me with a supervisor or the team handling this case?”

通话结束前，把下一步复述成一句话：“You'll [send the corrected bill] by [Friday], and I'll [check my account]. Is that correct?”
